Planning and Zoning Ordinance Changes

In an effort to allow more non-resident property owners to attend,
the Planning Commission has scheduled a Public Information meeting
to obtain inputs on the Revised Ordinances on
Saturday, February 6, 2010 - at 10:00 am
The meeting will be held in the auditorium
at the Garrett Community College.

Deep Creek Dispatch

The Board of the Property Owners' Association of Deep Creek Lake, Inc. has made a move to convert to an electronic newsletter. The printed newsletter will continue to be produced and distributed as we have done in the past, but we will also email an electronic newsletter with the identical content. Each member will have the option of converting to the new electronic newsletter for at least one year. The newsletter is for members only. If you are not a member already, please click on "Member Login" (to the left) and join the POA!

Why select the electronic newsletter?

• The electronic Dispatch will be received as soon as it is produced, not six weeks later as is the case with the printed version.
• You will receive urgent news in a timely manner.
• The e-Dispatch is less costly to produce, leaving more funds for projects to help the lake and county.
• Ultimately, only the e-Dispatch will be produced.

Boat Noise

As stated in the Winter 2009 Dispatch this may be the last chance to voice your opinion on regulations to control excessive boat noise. It looks like the course is set to adopt SAE J 1970 as its standard. Many other states use this measure. Click here to link to the regulation.
